Decal designs

The client for this project had a well-defined vision, but there were no existing art or examples for reference. To ensure I captured their ideas accurately, I engaged in thorough discussions to understand the specifics of their desired decals.

Once we clarified the requirements, I began the sketching phase. Rather than diving into a time-consuming design process immediately, I opted to create rough sketches first. These preliminary drawings served as a visual representation of the discussed concepts, allowing the client to provide feedback at an early stage.

The client appreciated this approach as it provided them with tangible visuals to evaluate before committing to a detailed design. We discussed each sketch in detail, making necessary adjustments based on their preferences. This iterative process ensured that the final decals aligned precisely with the client's expectations.

After presenting several rough sketches, the client was not only pleased with the overall direction but also identified two particular designs that resonated most with their vision. These selected sketches then became the foundation for moving forward with the design phase of the project.

Final designs

The client's specific aesthetic preferences dictated the use of Adobe applications for each decal design. For the bull design showcased at the top of the page, the desired grungy and textured feel was achieved through meticulous work in Adobe Photoshop. This involved employing advanced techniques within the application to create a compelling representation that aligned with the client's vision. The nuances of texture, shading, and detailing were carefully manipulated to bring out the rugged and raw essence sought for the bull decal.

The leaning man design required a completely different approach, emphasizing a clean and vectorized look. To meet this requirement, Adobe Illustrator became my tool of choice. The vector-based capabilities of Illustrator allowed for precise lines, sharp edges, and scalability without loss of quality. Adobe Illustrator's features were harnessed to craft a design that embodied a sleek and polished appearance, meeting the client's expectations for a refined aesthetic. The technical nuances of each application were strategically leveraged to bring forth the distinctive qualities desired for each design.

The client conveyed profound appreciation for the prompt completion of the design, highlighting its ability to not only meet but surpass their expectations. The positive feedback and satisfaction expressed by the client serve as a testament to the project's overall accomplishment.
